Iran continues to develop its weapons systems as it strives to create new facts on the ground by increasing its military capabilities. According to a Fars News Agency report, Tehran�s latest addition to its arsenal is the �Ya Ali� missile which can be fired as a surface to air missile or from fighter planes in flight. The Ya Ali has a maximum range of 700km (435 miles).
According to the Fars report, Iran claims to be the world�s sixth missile power and according to many, the announcement of the Ya Ali is a clear warning to the US and Israel regarding any planned attack against Tehran�s nuclear program.
