The condition of the Tzaddik from Yavniel, Rav Eliezer Shlomo [ben Malka] Shick is improving as was reported by YWN-ISRAEL.

Those with the rav are reporting that he awakened a number of hours following the surgery and doctors are amazed with the extent of his rapid recovery. The rav asked for paper and a pen to write a letter of hakoras hatov to his talmidim, the close to 1,000 tinokos shel beis raban that have been davening on his behalf. The rav has already spoken with close family members and his condition continues to improve. Those around him also state the rav has asked to get back into his daf yomi learning shortly after wakening from the anesthesia.

Heads of the Yavniel mosdos have flown to the United States to be with him and to assist in any way they can.
