oomis, if I could, I would invite you to my Seudah so that you could see what it is like to have bochurim walking in and out collecting for various worthy causes. If you could fargin (look past) the personal enjoyment that the bochurim get from it and see the joy they bring into your home with them plus the mitzvah that they are doing, I’m sure you wouldn’t feel the way you do. As far as giving goes, I will probably not give more than $10 – $20 to most, but I know they will come anyway.
