I haven’t been to all Orthodox schools. All the schools that I have been to did not tolerate conflicting opinions from students. The only frum institution with which I have any personal knowledge of a different attitude is Ner Yisrael in Baltimore, which has some divergence among the rebbeim. I imagine that YU is like that as well.
