Sam2 – the Avreichim in Beitar means nothing to me. As far as Rav Metzger and Rav Amar, can you back up your claim? I checked on line and found nothing in correlation of them to Rav Lichtenstein, shlita. After viewing a link about “Rabbi Dr. Aharon Licthenstein to receive Israel Prize” I’m surprised that such a strong praise that you claim was not mentioned. Sorry, but at this point I have to leave it as hearsay.
