And my original point has not been addressed. The only source that I have seen so far that mentions the Rambam in hilchos shemita v’yovel(before nowadays) (feel free to correct me and provide such sources) is the Biur Halacha in siman 156 where he specifically applies it to yechidim. (Incidentally, would you say that the Biur Halacha is using an emotional argument?)
