I dont know if this is what the person meant but they might have wanted you to say Baruch Hashem and acknowledge where that blessing is coming from. I have a teacher in HS who was very into this and it was amazing to see how she followed through. She never said good, fine….she always says Thank you hashem I’m doing great or something like that. YOu dont have to be “gush” forth like she does but just realize that all the good in your life comes from Someone and its not just random. Same for the hard times.
