sharp — I don’t mean to lecture you but I’m a bit surprised that you’re actually a metal/ hard rock/ punk rock fan. (Not to be confused with rock). I’m surprised because you seem to be more sensible than that. I personally think these genres are for the musically illiterate. That’s just my opinion, I don’t mean to judge.

I personally do not like Jewish music. I find it repetitive and bland. I can see why people like the more classical Jewish music, but I find I like things with more of a beat and less predictable musically.

I fully agree with you on that. I have friends who play guitar (and one who is a music theory major) and most of them can not play at the level of most lead guitar player in rock groups.

I’m going to have to disagree with you on that. I’m not musically illiterate and many of my friends who listen to rock/metal also are not musically illiterate. It’s all about your tastes.
