Dear Dr. Feif: Since we know that everything that a person does to another person is caused by Hashem, and we are obligated to be “melamed zechus on the person who causes us any harm”, how can anyone ever have a real relationship with another person? You will never know whether you are relating to the “real person” or to the actions or words that Hashem sent to you via that person despite his/her desires to relate to you differently.
