ames, what can I say? I enjoy using Yiddish, it is a geshmaka language. It is also great that Jews everywhere, religious and not, can communicate to some degree with Yiddish. It is a shame that Sephardim in general do not also grow up with Yiddish. If they did it would truly be a universal language. I don’t attribute any kedusha to it (though I have heard bochurim darshen how it is “ossur” to speak Yiddish in a bathroom, assuming that it would be OK to speak at all) but it is SPECIAL.
moish, I am very detail oriented.
