It is not a lack of respect to ask even a minor shailah; in fact it is a kavod. If you’re worried about his time, which is admirable, you can collect your shailos and every week, ask him after davening on Shabbos, or if your posek is not the rav of the shul in which you daven, call him or speak to him during the week with your list of questions. It is certainly better than making up the answers yourself.
