Toi- the biur hagra is just commenting on the rama which says not to make a talis of shatnaiz – so the gra says ayin medrash rabba Vachshav ain lanu ella halavan. I do not see how this means it can not be found . It just means since today we don’t have techailes we cannot use shatnez. It does not say anything about it not coming back….
