TorahUmadda: This has nothing to do with understanding the scope of Mesorah. Just show me one place in Shas/Poskim where it says that if we were unable to do a Mitzva at a certain point in time then the Mitzva becomes batel. And my comparison is only absurd because you misconstrue it. No one is instituting any mitzvos over here. G-d instituted it by saying “V’nasnu al tzitzis hakanaf pesil techeiles”. Please explain how it could be worse to follow the Torah than to change a minhag.
