“I await the day when you admit that it goes both ways… :)”

There’s a difference. You are the self-appointed Indexer Extraordinaire Par Excellence.

And Grammar Knight of the Emerald Sword. I’ll be using your quote, by the way – can you find my Report Card?

It’s as if arrogant.

(That’s not a taunt about your confusion in the other thread – I wrote it before I saw that post, and possibly before you put it up.)

So you’re saying that actually, you were awaiting the day when I would acknowledge that it goes both ways?

Actually, I was already going to post asking if this was an admission, but I hadn’t gone through everything thoroughly yet (and in fact I still haven’t):

Until Randomex comes along and translates them and then everyone realizes that Patur Aval Assur is a charlatan, merely spewing Aramaic quotes that have no relevance to anything, but give the impression of being somewhat learned.

How is that an example of "used language/conveyed an idea/theory beyond the scope of average human intelligence"? I actually learned the word "emoticon" in that thread.

That’s true, but that link is to a specific post in which you used the word “aposiopesis,” which I had to Google to make sure it wasn’t one of your invented words that you’d forgotten to put on the list.

Which is why I don't get why there is a vocabulary section on IQ tests.

Indeed puzzling. Perhaps it is assumed that a certain level of intelligence would cause a person to have learned certain words in a given environment? It still doesn’t seem right.

Not to mention “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?,” which as Wikipedia says “is essentially a test to see how much an adult has retained since graduating elementary school.”

EDIT: I refreshed before posting and am eager to read the new story!
