While that concept does NOT apply for this case since the case given dealt with reshayim, the mussar seforim say you should look at the wealth and tranquility of reshayim and laugh at them in order to give yourself chizuk, because if Hashem gives the reshayim wealth and tranquility, kal vechomer we will get more reward.
