To my knowledge there was only one person who got away with making drastic changes to orthodoxy while retaining the perception of being orthodox through the generations. Any person (mis)quoting “al titosh” to attack modern orthodoxy while advocating for more chassidus would seem to be stuck in an irrational stubborn ironic brainfreeze.
