A numismaticist is one having to do with numismatics – coins and coin-collecting.
The bronze U.S. two-cent piece was produced only from 1864-1872, largely due to the hoarding of silver coins during the civil war.
It was also the first U.S. coin to carry the logo “In G-d We Trust”
