TY. That is certainly a strong argument for holding while feeding and even a strong argument for breastfeeding rather than bottle feeding altogether. But assuming the baby is being provided sufficient physical comfort of parental contact in forms other than feeding, just as it is acceptable (though not preferable) to bottle feed over breastfeed, it would seem it isn’t the propping per se that is causing any emotional damage due to the non-contact while feeding.
