The fact that he mentions the werewolf is very interesting, to say the least. Thanks for the sefer chassidim reference. I didn’t know that either. Quite frankly I don’t know what to make of it. Could it be that these things once existed but no longer exist, like many inyanim of kishuf and sheidim etc. Or perhaps since this is what the world accepted as truth, the chachamim accepted it as well (at least misafeik), similar to what the world believes today to be scientific ‘facts’, but will be proven wrong tomorrow(as is often the case).
