Wrong, PBA. There are about 105 BOYS born for each 100 girls in the US. Globally, it’s 107 to 100. But that greater disparity is mainly due to the Chinese preferring boys. (Their numbers are 118 to 100.) This is based on 2011 numbers, so it may have changed slightly.
The US (and most of the world) does have more females than males though, as women tend to live longer. And that’s the real reason why more boys are born, as boys’ mortality rates are higher, even in infants.
