Reply To: Lakewood School Busing

You are saying that you can build hundreds of miles of sidewalks along all the streets of Lakewood by the start of school year for less than $20 million, the cost of school busing. What will happen is that your taxes will go up to pay for the sidewalks and because Lakewood continues to grow you will never have adequate sidewalks and will still be paying for school busing forever. I think you are in the dream world.

The state will never agree to school vouchers but just like the south thought there would never be integration in the public schools but the Federal courts mandated it. So too if it can be proven that the state violated the Yeshiva students’ rights the courts can mandate school vouchers to correct past discrimination.
