Not really a political statement, but a historical musical. Good chance none of the actors know anything about the real Hamilton. He was very much against immigration, favored having a king, and other things they do not align with their current political views. Also interesting to note that as much as the actor pointed to the diversity in the cast, earlier this year when casting for a touring company of the show, they were specifically were looking for non-whites, which is discriminatory.
