Abba_S, Broadway audiences are disproportionately wealthy, highly educated Manhattan residents — in other words, Democrats (as Trump used to be, except maybe the highly educated part).
I saw a clip of the speech, and I thought it was very respectful. Apparently Pence wasn’t offended, so it’s curious that Trump felt a need to be offended on his behalf.
