Remember that Chazal’s statements about the safety of Eretz Yisroel applies equally to all parts of EY, whether Tel Aviv, Southern Lebanon or Jordan. And it does not apply to parts of the State of Israel that is outside of Eretz Yisroel, such as Eilat.
