If something is truly DE and someone eats it for dessert of a fleshig meal all is OK. If the formula changes and it is truly a dairy product and one erroneously thinks it is DE is in my opinion a bigger problem than something which is truly DE but has a D and is never eaten until waiting the appropriate time.
This is a response to someone who wrote the OU doesnt use Pareve. I dont know their guidelines, but I am staring at packets of splenda and sweet and low both of which are labeled OU pareve.
