Hashemisreading, sometimes we wrongly interpret written words. I don’t say or deny that bashing comments exist, however most of the time we just need Rashi’s commentaries to explain us what exactly a certain person is trying to express through their choice of words. In other words, what could look like a bashment (creative!) could be an encouraging word of advice, even if we don’t realize it.
