LB, regarding the recycling policies of our local authorities or councils, it is part of this politically correct idea of saving resources and the planet. They have to do it by law, even if it is more expensive than just disposing the whole lot into landfill. I have no idea what they do with it, but they tell us it is recycled back into the environment.
