bk613: I don’t know why you speak that way about our schools. I am a teacher in one of the yeshivas and my children attend them as well. They take the regents extremely seriously and are proctored in silence throughout. Both the girls and the boys- on the whole- get very high scores. And yes, the boys do their secular studies in a few hours in the afternoon after a long day of learning.
