Dave, Fred was never a member or supporter of the KKK. Fred was an unambiguous Oheiv Yisroel, just as his son Donald is. Donald throughout his life has had excellent friendly relations with Yidden. His father lived near where the KKK rallied and when the police cleared the streets he was passing through they took him with everyone else on the street they were clearing. Fred was never charged with anything, even minor, whereas the same NYT article you quoted named individuals who were charged with participating at the rally, unlike Fred who the article indicates was not charged with anything once they determined he was a pedestrian.

Even the uber-leftist Snopes confirms what I just related regarding Fred Trump.
