Thanks. It’s not so much about being more hadar. It’s a shailah of being yotze the mitzvah as some are of the opinion that a esrog hamurkav (grafted) is pasul and the chazon ish esrogim have a reputation of being clean from any form of grafting and they generally fulfill the simanim of a non-grafted esrog (brought down by the mishnah berura) better than most others. I think the 2 visible simanim are 1. lots of bumps and 2. ukitz pushed into the esrog which I think you find more on the chazon ish esrogim despite the fact that objectively they usually look weirder than the others (probably because they weren’t grafted with lemons).
