You missed a story with greater impact on yeshivas. For 10 years, the New York State Assembly had passed a bill giving victims of abuse , who were past the statute of limitations for filing a lawsuit, a 12 month to file a lawsuit regardless of when the abuse occurred. And, for 10 years the Republican controlled State Senate refused to consider it. Well, the Democrats have won control of the Senate and today’s Newsday reports that this issue will be among the first to be taken up.
This will financially devastate yeshivas ( the newspaper talked about the impact on the Catholic church).

I will believe it when i see it come through. I get the feeling , the agudah big wigs will somehow find a loophole to toss that new law.
That law shouldve past decades ago.!!
