Reply To: President Donald Trump, Oheiv Yisroel Par Excellence

CNN has a long interesting article today (“Sholom Rubashkin: The inside story of how a kosher meat kingpin won clemency under Trump”) about how President Donald Trump came about commuting the sentence of Reb Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin. It claims Jared Kushner was much more responsible for getting the President to issue the commutation than Alan Dershowitz, who was given most of the credit previously.

It also says President Trump specifically was motivated to issue the commutation in order to help the Orthodox Jewish community out of hakaros hatov for our support of him.
