Right is CORRECT (no pun intended) ….to correct my prior posting, cities in 31 states have adopted some form of prohibition on plastic bags, not 31 statewide bans. I cannot post the link but you can google plastic bag ban state by state to get the complete listing. In most states, the bans are enacted at the city/county level not statewide. In response, a number of states have enacted preemption laws prohibiting their localities from adopting such bans. These states include Ohio, Missouri, Idaho, Arizona, Wisconsin, Indiana and Florida .
