While there have not been reported mortalities among children, we do not have enough data to say that it is benign for children, especially among children with underlying medical problems.

Yet, even if it were benign for pediatrics, children act as vectors and can transmit the virus to other age group individuals that at higher risk.

Also, children will not stay children forever, as they become older they will be more at risk, especially if they develop other underlying medical conditions.

Hopefully Iy”h this virus will be eradicated and there will be no need for vaccinations for this virus. The point that I made was that we got to witness the potential of how things could have looked like before the age of vaccines, in which viruses that did severely affect children and adults being common.
