Joseph and Charlie, dwelling on a past that our ancestors were probably not around for will only continue to breed hate. Why keep it up?
I’m tired of seeing people blame others for the mistakes of their ancestors. Two of my grandparents were immigrants. Grandma was born in Germany. Should I become a “self-hair f Jew” because of what people believe? Maybe it’s different because I grew up with stories of how her Xtian neighbors his Frum families to keep them safe, and so we can’t hate an entire ethnicity because of the actions of some.
But try saying that in a Yeshiva, and see how quickly you will end up in the office. Most people are more interested in perpetuating the hate than in moving past the sins of the (grand)father. Time to let go.
