President is right about his saying that prayer is essential. Problem is that he didn’t give any guidelines which is now confusing the issue. He could have stated that Shuls can open with proper social distancing and depending on the size, that will determine how many people can attend. NYS said that we can open but limited the attendance to not more than 10. Did the Presidents comments override the limit? Here in Forshay, we are still davening on our own porches but some of the other Shuls are indeed opening. My neighbors have already expressed hope that my Porch Minyan will be open through the summer. I’m open to that.
