Well, it is now time for hindsight about October surprises, and YWN commentators’ expectations of October surprises. Seems like we all (including me, notwithstanding my extraordinary astutivity) missed the surprisingest surprise of all: Trump gets hospitalized with Covid-19.
As for the outcome of Tuesday’s election, we will have to wait until at least Friday, November 6, for a reasonably reliable vote count. The polls say Biden has a better chance of winning than Hillary did in 2016. For me, that is ice cold comfort.
