Firstly, considering that 100% of known rabbanim that have given endorsements have endorsed Trump, id assume that not only is it not against halacha to vote trump, if anything, one should vote Trump. You utilize the tactic of GASLIGHTING to twist facts and create your own fake narrative that trump hasn’t always followed the experts, and taken early proactive measures to combat the virus. Just so happens that fauci himself disagrees with you. The only time trump has made fun of mask wearing is instances where mask wearing should have been made fun of. Such as Joe Biden wearing a mask outdoors with no one within 50 feet of him. Completely anti-science, and completely politically motivated. So while in February trump made comments aimed at reducing fear, he actually took protective measures such as the China travel ban-which Biden called him racist and xenophobic for! Who remembers Pelosi inviting everyone to come to China town? Who remembers all of the media saying it wasn’t more than the flu? And oh how hypocritical and ironic is it for you to be blaming trump when it was the left wing media that has helped suppress the life saving treatment-hydroxychloroquine -which Dr Harvey Risch has said (a couple months ago when the death toll was much lower) “could have saved 100,000 lives”. Perhaps you could indeed blame trump for all of this. He should have predicted the media’s reaction to him informing the country of the potentially life saving hydroxychloroquine -and he should have come out trashing the drug. Only then would the media have given it proper honest coverage. Who knows how many lives could have been saved had he done that. So yea, in that regard, trumps a failure. The average frum jew is able to see past the fake news spewed out of the mainstream media, and maybe that’s why, according to a recent ami poll, 85% of frum Jews will be voting trump. All of this is why one shouldn’t not vote for trump based on the virus. I didn’t even get to why one should stay FAR away from the left(blm, antifa, riots, liberalism, socialism, anti religion, anti america, anti israel, pro killing unborn babies…………………..)
