Biden needs to get the country back on some degree of normalcy and will not entertain any efforts by his fringe lefties to push a crazy agenda. He will have a number of progressive women and minority appointments in agencies like Interior, Agriculture and HHS but will have steady, trusted and experienced appointees in DOD, State, DOJ and Treasury. He will have some “progressive” Day 1 decisions like restoring DACA status, signing notice of intent to rejoin the Paris accords etc. But he won’t remove Iran sanctions, outlaw all fossil fuel leasing on federal lands or “tear down” those few sections of the wall Trump was able to complete.
Yes, there will be right/left tensions within the Democratic Party but I suspect they will be manageable.
