Third parties in the US don’t have a very good track record, last serious 3rd party attempt was 1992 in Ross Perot with 18.9 % of the vote and not a single vote in electoral collage. The only serious 3rd party was Teddy Roosevelt in 1912 who came in second.
Conversely why don’t the moderate and blue dog democrats jump ship now that the party has been hijacked by the AOC and alike.
