The issue with Trump’s incitement, as I see it, was that he stood in front of the rioters knowing that they will march on the Capitol and start a fight. He stood there and encouraged them to “go fight”, even if he meekly said “peacefully” once or twice.
Bernie never told a crowd ready to riot that they need to “take care of those Republicans” or whatever.
