I didn’t know that there were Frum Rabbis at that time that Stood up for the Torah!

That’s irrelevant!
Most congregations in the US became more & more lenient.
That was the result from the Reformers.
From first Orthodox > Conservative > Reform.
Now we have other things, Reconstructive, etc.
I don’t understand why they use the Name “Jew”.
Even Reform Cong. are Mostly Non-Jews!
