“Paul Gosar and MTG spoke at a pro Russia white nationalist event led by well known anti semite Nick Fuentes. This is not the first time they have attended such an event. ”
Both claimed they “did not know” that Fuentes is a rabid white supremacist and anti-Semite. Sound familiar??
Does anyone remember Trump’s absurd claim just before Super Tuesday back in 2016 primaries that he “knows nothing” about former KKK leader David Duke, America’s most well known white supremacist and initially refused to disavow Duke’s endorsement of his candidacy.
When confronted by reporters about Duke, Trump claimed ignorance multiple times:
“Well, just so you understand, I don’t know anything about David Duke. okay? I don’t know anything about what you’re even talking about with white supremacy or white supremacists. So, I don’t know anything”
“I don’t know, did he endorse me or what’s going on, because, you know, I know nothing about David Duke. I know nothing about white supremacists. And so you’re asking me a question that I’m supposed to be talking about people that I know nothing about. …
“I don’t know any — honestly, I don’t know David Duke. I don’t believe I have ever met him. I’m pretty sure I didn’t meet him. And I just don’t know anything about him.”
Then, after denying he had refused to disavow Duke’s endorsement (in an interview readily available on tape) , his campaign ultimately did issue a rejection of Duke and white supremacists…..only to be followed months later by his even more memorable assertion that “there are good people on BOTH sides” after the Nazi march in Charlottesville.
Do Gosar and MTG believe that Fuentes one of those “Good Nazis”??
