Mishna Berura suggests that the father reads Megilah at home to his young daughters instead if going to woman’s section where people are talking and you can’t hear anything. If the same is happening in the whole shul, then, would this logic apply? The difference is that men should listen a a community, so is it better to read at home and hear everything or be part of the community and miss a lot? Mayb e do both.
