Assuming, arguendo, that there were anecdotal cases of data having been manipulated and/or dissenting views suppressed, that would still mean that well over 90 percent of scientists with relevant credentials agree on the core issue of a warming trend attributable to man-made activities. Even many (non-Maga) Republican “climate deniers” have come around to accept the fact that global warming is a real concern. The primary disagreement today is more over the rate of change and the most cost-effective strategies for slowing the warming effect. Unlike most other forms of pollution, it does little good to reduce CO2 emissions here in the U.S. while China, India, Russia etc. continue to emit at current levels or even increase the emissions that would offset our own reductions.
