Well it happened again

I gave an עני collecting for his child’s chasuna (at least that’s what he said, he didn’t provide a תעודה from a vaad) a quarter, he gave it back to me (I then put it in צדקה) and then I remembered I had a dollar on me and he complains he wants $30 and shows me his card reader, now I haven’t won the lottery yet (btw he ends up taking the dollar) where has menschlikeit gone?
