There is an atmosphere of acceptance of a gay life there, and they speak openly about their finally feeling like they can be themselves openly as opposed to the “oppressive, anti gay restrictions” of their high schools and yeshivas (read – requesting halachik adherence). I wish you were right. I don’t know if you have inside information that things are as you say or if it is just a pipe dream but I wish it was so.
