No one? How would you know what his supporters were saying? We weren’t there. And they all (mostly) died along with him. So we don’t know how they would have reacted to his death. There are better analogies to today. I would love to see how you would twist yourself to answer for all the Accepted Rabbonim that went along with messianic movements.
