No mainstream Dems have “switched sides”. For obvious reasons, the growing body count of non-combatant Gaza residents is triggering pressure on EY to do as much as possible to minimize collateral damage. The IDF acknowledgement today that they had accidentally bombed a refugee camp with multiple casualties is certain to increase that pressure.
Meanwhile, back in the House, the new majority leader is already trying to condition the aid package for EY to funding offsets, which has NEVER been done for emergency assistance. They may also add in border policy changes. None of these will be accepted in the Senate which means they are deliberately delaying the Israeli aid package.
