Schnall ran as Dem for ONE reason only….$$$$.
The heads of the various mosdos in Lakewood finally realized that the Republicans in Trenton had very limited leverage in budgetary decisions. Tuition vouchers are clearly not popular with the Dems but Schnall is likely to have more success pushing for some form of limited financial assistance as a member of the majority party than as a Republican.
